Veneers are one of the conservative and effective options for your beautiful smile. Veneers are thin custom-designed shells of tooth-coloured material that are attached to the front of the teeth to meet a variety of cosmetic goals.
Porcelain dental veneers can change a tooth's color, size or shape. They are ideal for a number of tooth restoration purposes :
-badly stained teeth that cannot be improved by teeth whitening such as those affected by antibiotics;
-teeth that have become badly worn through excessive grinding or by carbonated drinks, as well as those that have been chipped or broken;
-teeth with discolored fillings;
-space or gaps between teeth;
     Â
-for teeth that are not severely crooked, veneers placed over their front surface will give a straight and perfectly aligned-looking smile.
The very first step of getting porcelain veneers is initial consultation and oral examination. This communication stage is important. At this point, patient should discuss with Dr.Sooparb about what you desire and what is possible, how your smile is going to look like, cost and all procedures.
The second step is the tooth preparation. Your teeth will be prepared by removing a small amount of the front surface of the tooth to allow space for the porcelain. Then Dr.Sooparb will take an impression of your teeth. This impression is used by the laboratory technician to create your veneers. It usually takes 5-7 days for the laboratory technician to make veneers. In the meantime your teeth will be covered with temporary veneers which will prevent your teeth from extra sensitivity.
